Do you know what part of your home will contain vibrant energy for 2009? Knowing these points can catapult your goals and desires into action.

Xuan Kong Fei Xing or Flying Star Feng Shui assesses energy patterns within our homes and offices. The dynamic is based on the concept that energy is in a constant state of flux. This energy is both vibrant and decaying whereby vibrant energy empowers us to achieve our goals while decaying energy can hinder our goals and cause health issues.

In traditional flying star methods, form school principles are utilized to support vibrant qi and abate problematic qi. Understanding 5 element theory determines the appropriate element placement in the proper form position (water or mountain) for either activation of good energy or abating problematic energy.

Flying Star Technique:

Flying star feng shui is an advance technique that requires close analysis and understanding of core feng shui principles. The flying stars are represented by the numbers 1-9 as they move in a sequential order around the Lo Shu grid or Magic Square. Flying star charts are specific to the year the structure was built and its facing direction.

In February of 2004 we entered into a period 8 (Gen trigram) and will remain in this period 8 cycle for 20 years (2024). In this system, there are sub-cycles or Yuns broken down into an Upper, Middle and Lower era that contain (3) 20 year periods aligned to the 8 trigrams, plus the center point gua number 5. For an accurate analysis the flying star chart must include: year structure was built, exact facing direction, month and year trigrams.

2009 Annual Cycle:

2009 is considered a 9-cycle year. The trigram is Li and represents the Fame sector of the ba-gua. The element is fire and the nature is warmth, recognition, passion, talent, expansion of ideas and enlightenment. The areas of impact in the human body include the eyes, heart, tongue, small intestines and the circulatory system.

The following is a generalized description of energy points in 2009. The cures are specific to the 9 annual star movements around the Lo Shu. Other dynamics (year home built, facing direction, and the month trigram number) are necessary to assess your personal flying star chart.

Energy Points:

  • East: In 2009 the trigram (7) resides here. In an 8 period (2004-2024), the 7 star is destructive and may cause fire, theft, robbery or tragic death. Keep this area quiet and place virtual water (glass, seashell) to drain off this metal energy.
  • Southeast: The trigram number 8 resides in this direction. This is a very vibrant qi energy bringing with it progressive wealth, especially for young people. Activate this area with a water fountain, fish bowl, door entrance, or sunlight to capture and spread the sheng qi.
  • South: The trigram 4 falls in this direction in 2009. This is an untimely star and can result in adultery or family break-up. Add fire elements (candles or triangular shaped objects) to drain this energy.
  • Southwest: The trigram number 6 resides in this direction. It is considered a white star and usable in an 8 period. Achievements can be great especially for those in the military or disciplinary officers. Add additional earth elements (stones, yellow or earthy colors) to this area and keep it active.
  • West: For 2009 the black 2 star resides here. This is untimely and can indicate abdominal diseases, miscarriage and impact the matriarch. The best cure is a metal sound (gong or bell) and ring frequently. Do not place a metal chime, as this will agitate this sha energy.
  • Northwest: The 1 trigram moves to this directional position. This is considered a white star and auspicious in an 8 period. Its presence can indicate birth of an intelligent son, helpful area for study and examinations, and assists with fame and wealth. You may add metal elements (outdoors a metal chime) and keep the area active.
  • North: In 2009 the yellow 5 star resides here. This energy resembles Murphy's Law...Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. You must keep this area quiet and place metal elements. Ringing a bell periodically here will bode well.
  • Northeast: In 2009 Zhen (3) trigram resides here. This star is usable in a period 8; however, take note to what is happening. You can either experience windfalls in business or legal issues. To balance, add metal and water elements. If you should experience any problems add a fire element (candles).

Awareness:

When you know what to expect, it is a little easier to navigate through life. Start this year right by activating the good energy points within your home or office and shutting down those areas that may throw you for a loop.

I read somewhere that you should avoid fire element in the south this year. My front door is in the south, what do I do to avoid break up or third party?
